Description

The BEMATO BMT-1740AC Economic Type Precision CNC Lathe is a compact, high-speed flat-bed turning solution engineered for reliable precision machining in job shops, tool rooms, and light-to-medium production environments. Built with a rigid one-piece fabricated box-type base, the BMT-1740AC delivers excellent vibration damping and long-term dimensional stability, making it ideal for high-accuracy turning of shafts, bushings, and general cylindrical components. The machine features a three-point supported spindle design for enhanced rigidity and smooth rotation, supporting consistent surface finishes even at higher cutting speeds.

Designed for flexibility and productivity, the BMT-1740AC offers a swing over bed of Ø460 mm, swing over cross slide of Ø230 mm, and a generous 990 mm distance between centers, allowing it to accommodate a wide range of workpiece sizes. The A1-6 spindle nose with a Ø58 mm (2") spindle bore supports common chucking and bar-feeding requirements, while the main spindle provides two-step automatic speed change via CNC control, with stepless spindle speeds up to 4,500 rpm (optional) for optimized cutting performance across various materials. Precision ball screws on both X and Z axes ensure accurate positioning and repeatability, complemented by rapid traverse rates of 5 m/min (X) and 7 m/min (Z) for reduced cycle times.

The BMT-1740AC is equipped with a Fagor CNC control as standard, offering a user-friendly interface, reliable motion control, and efficient programming for turning applications. Optional FANUC or Siemens controls are available to match existing shop standards. Standard features such as automatic lubrication, coolant system, work light, and center sleeve enhance day-to-day usability and machine longevity.
