Description

The AWEA MEGA5 Series is a range of high-performance, bridge-type 5-axis CNC machining centers engineered for large, complex, and precision machining applications. Designed for demanding manufacturing environments, the MEGA5 Series combines a heavy-duty, rigid machine structure with advanced simultaneous 5-axis machining capabilities to deliver excellent cutting stability, accuracy, and productivity.

Available in two configurations—the MEGA5 P Series (Fixed Bridge Type) and MEGA5 G Series (Moving Gantry Type)—the series accommodates a wide range of workpiece sizes and machining requirements.

Equipped with a high-performance, Italian-made 2-axis milling head, the MEGA5 Series enables simultaneous X, Y, Z, B, and C-axis machining for complex contours, angular surfaces, deep cavities, and multi-face operations. Direct-drive B and C axes, high-resolution absolute encoders, and hydraulic clamping systems provide precise positioning, high torque, and rigidity for demanding cutting applications.

The series features a built-in motor spindle design with an integrated cooling system to minimize vibration, maintain thermal stability, and support consistent machining accuracy during extended operations. Depending on the machine configuration, spindle speeds of up to 24,000 RPM are available, with HSK-A63 or HSK-A100 spindle interfaces.

The MEGA5 P Series incorporates a rigid double-column bridge structure, precision linear guideways, and a centrally driven X-axis for stable, accurate machining of large components. The MEGA5 G Series features a moving gantry structure with a dual-servo, rack-and-pinion X-axis drive, offering extended travel capacity and flexibility for extra-large workpieces.
