APEC GM4080 - 5-AXIS HIGH-SPEED GANTRY MACHINING CENTER

Description

The APEC GM4080-5L is a large-format 5-axis high-speed gantry machining center designed for precision machining of large, complex components. Combining a generous working envelope with high-speed linear motion and simultaneous 5-axis capability, the GM4080-5L provides the flexibility required for demanding large-part manufacturing applications. The machine can be customized with different spindle, milling head, tooling, probing, coolant, and automation configurations to suit specific production requirements.

Built around a rigid gantry platform, the GM4080-5L features linear motor drives on the X, Y, and Z axes, high-rigidity roller-type linear guideways, and Heidenhain optical linear and circular scales across all five axes. A Heidenhain 5-axis CNC platform supports precise multi-axis machining, while available HSK100A spindle configurations provide the speed, power, and torque required for a broad range of cutting applications.

Available configurations include options from 8,000 mm X-axis travel, 4,000 mm Y-axis travel, 1,500 mm Z-axis travel, 8,000 × 4,000 mm table size, 8 T/m² table load capacity, 12,000–15,000 rpm HSK100A spindle configurations, 60 m/min rapid traverse, and 60-tool automatic tool changer configurations. Additional options are available for workpiece probing, tool measurement, high-pressure through-spindle coolant, automatic kinematics measurement and calibration, and other application-specific requirements.
