GOODWAY GV-780M VERTICAL CNC TURNING CENTER

Description

The GOODWAY GV-780M is a heavy-duty vertical CNC turning center designed for high-precision machining of large and demanding workpieces. Combining a highly rigid machine structure, precision roller linear guideways, a powerful spindle and advanced live-tooling capabilities, the GV-780M delivers the stability and versatility required for both heavy cutting and complex multi-tasking applications.

Built on a heavily ribbed, thermally balanced one-piece MEEHANITE bed and column, the GV-780 series is engineered for long-term accuracy and high-production machining. FEM-optimized reinforcement increases mechanical rigidity, while precision hand-scraped mating surfaces and high-rigidity roller linear guideways on the X and Z axes provide excellent load distribution, positioning control and cutting stability.

The GV-780 offers a maximum turning diameter of 820 mm (32.28"), a maximum turning length of 660 mm (25.98"), and a maximum swing diameter of 850 mm (33.46"). A standard 15" hydraulic chuck provides secure workholding for large components.

Power is supplied by a FANUC αP40 spindle motor rated at 18.5/22 kW (25/30 HP), producing up to 1,050 Nm of torque for demanding heavy-cutting operations. The spindle operates at speeds up to 2,000 RPM, while an optional ZF gearbox can increase maximum spindle torque to 2,817 Nm for even more demanding applications.
For multi-tasking applications, the GV-780 series can be equipped with a 12-station live-tooling turret and C-axis, allowing turning, milling, drilling and tapping operations to be completed in a single setup. This reduces part handling and cycle time while helping maintain machining accuracy by eliminating unnecessary transfers between machines.
