The ZOPO SP-2230 is a heavy-duty bridge-type double column vertical machining center engineered for high-precision machining of large workpieces requiring exceptional rigidity, stability, and accuracy. Built using high-strength cast iron components that undergo natural aging and vibration stress-relief treatment, the machine is designed to minimize deformation and maintain long-term machining accuracy. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is applied throughout the machine structure to optimize rigidity, vibration dampening, and thermal stability. Large linear guideways on the X and Y axes combined with a box guideway on the Z-axis provide excellent support for heavy cutting operations while maintaining smooth machine movement and positioning accuracy.
The SP-2230 offers generous machining capacity with 3,200 mm X-axis travel, 2,250 mm Y-axis travel, and 1,000 mm Z-axis travel, supported by a large 2,000 mm × 3,000 mm worktable capable of handling workpieces up to 12,000 kg. The 2,400 mm distance between columns provides ample machining space for oversized components while maintaining excellent structural rigidity. Its heavy-duty BT50 spindle platform supports high-torque machining across a wide range of materials, including steel, cast iron, aluminum alloys, and other demanding applications.
