The ZOPO SP-1830II is a heavy-duty bridge-type double column vertical machining center designed for high-precision machining of large and complex workpieces. Built on ZOPO's upgraded SP-II platform, the machine combines exceptional rigidity, high torque cutting capability, and long-term accuracy retention, making it ideal for mold & die, energy, construction equipment, rail transportation, aerospace, and general heavy machining applications. The SP-1830II features a robust double-column structure with optimized machine geometry, gearhead spindle technology, and advanced finite element analysis (FEA) design to deliver superior stability and cutting performance under demanding machining conditions.
Manufactured using high-strength cast iron components that undergo natural aging and vibration stress-relief treatment, the SP-1830II is engineered for long-term reliability and accuracy. Large roller-type guideways, reinforced structural ribs, thermal compensation technology, and precision assembly processes help minimize vibration, reduce thermal distortion, and maintain consistent machining performance throughout extended production cycles.
With travels of 3,200 mm (X) × 2,400 mm (Y) × 1,000 mm (Z), a large 1,800 mm × 3,000 mm worktable, and a 12,000 kg table load capacity, the SP-1830II offers generous machining capacity for oversized components. The machine features a 2,400 mm distance between columns, providing excellent accessibility and machining flexibility for large workpieces. Its gearhead-driven BT50 spindle delivers high torque performance for aggressive material removal while maintaining the accuracy required for precision finishing applications.
Additional design features include thermal compensation, collision protection functions, ergonomic machine guarding, efficient chip evacuation, flexible chip conveyor layouts, and optional automation-ready configurations. The modular platform also supports a wide range of spindle configurations, automatic tool changers, milling heads, probing systems, and customized machining solutions to suit specific production requirements.
