The BEMATO SGF2250.120.8 CNC Giant Heavy Duty Lathe is an extra-large capacity turning center engineered for high-precision machining of massive and long workpieces used in industries such as energy, oil & gas, steel production, mining, shipbuilding, aerospace, and heavy industrial manufacturing. Built with a rigid heavy-duty structure and an extended 12,000 mm distance between centers, this CNC lathe is designed to deliver exceptional stability, accuracy, and cutting performance for oversized shafts, rollers, cylinders, and large fabricated components. The machine features a massive 2250 mm swing over bed capacity, a wide 1345 mm bed construction, and a two-piece cast bed design that provides superior rigidity and vibration absorption during heavy cutting operations.

Powered by a high-torque 51 kW spindle motor with a Ø210 mm spindle bore and A2-15 spindle nose, the SGF2250.120.8 is capable of handling demanding roughing and finishing applications with ease. The spindle speed range of 5–400 RPM across four gear steps provides the torque and flexibility required for machining large-diameter workpieces and difficult materials. Equipped with the FAGOR 8058 CNC control system, precision X-axis ball screw drive, and heavy-duty rack and pinion Z-axis transmission, the machine ensures smooth long-travel movement, accurate positioning, and reliable machining performance over extended machining lengths.

The SGF2250.120.8 is designed for productivity and operator efficiency with features including automatic lubrication, spindle oil cooler, coolant system, motorized tailstock with rotary quill, moving control panel, chuck and turret guarding, and a robust heavy-duty support system for long-part machining applications. Optional configurations such as power turret systems, boring devices, C-axis spindle orientation, quick change pallet systems, and multiple steady rest options further expand the machine’s capability for complex heavy-duty turning operations.
