The FERMAT WFT-13 is a state-of-the-art horizontal CNC boring mill designed for maximum power, rigidity, and machining accuracy. Engineered for demanding industrial applications, the WFT-13 combines heavy-duty structural integrity with modern CNC intelligence, making it the ideal choice for aerospace, energy, rail, defense, mold & die, and general heavy machining. With box guideways on all axes, a powerful 3400 RPM CAT50 BIG-PLUS spindle, and a 20-ton rotary table, this machine delivers exceptional performance in large-part precision machining.

Equipped with the latest FERMAT FANUC CNC system featuring a 21.5” touchscreen display, 120 GB SSD storage, and the advanced iHMI interface, the WFT-13 offers enhanced usability, graphical programming support, and seamless operation. The machine includes FANUC Manual Guide i, a 400-block look-ahead AICCII, and specialized FERMAT machining cycles, including tilted working plane (TWP) functions and coordinate transformation tools for intelligent 5-face machining.

The WFT-13 is powered by a 2200 Nm (37 kW) main spindle, supported by a 2-stage planetary gearbox with automatic lubrication and thermal monitoring via oil-cooled spindle bearings and an integrated spindle oil chiller. Its robust ø130 mm (5.12") spindle diameter allows for high material removal rates even in tough materials. Precision is further enhanced by Heidenhain linear scales on the X, Y, and Z axes and absolute rotary encoders on the 20T rotary table, ensuring excellent repeatability and positioning accuracy.

With an upgraded 40-tool ATC, 70-bar through-spindle coolant system, and a rigid cast iron structure featuring hardened and ground guideways, the WFT-13 guarantees heavy-duty cutting stability, long-term durability, and superior surface finish.
