Built on a high-rigidity portal-type structure made from premium cast iron, the machine ensures vibration damping and geometric stability even under aggressive cutting conditions. The X-axis is powered by a precision ball screw with expansion compensation, while the Y and Z axes are driven by linear motors for high-speed, frictionless movement. Integrated optical encoders, in accordance with VDI/DGQ 3441, guarantee consistent positioning accuracy. The high-torque electrospindle combines power, speed, and axial/radial stiffness, supporting heavy roughing as well as high-speed finishing, with real-time vibration monitoring for enhanced tool and part protection.
The swiveling rotary table, mounted on a 45° cradle and driven by water-cooled torque motors, enables continuous tilt from -45° to +180° with no backlash or mechanical wear—ensuring exceptional surface finishes and repeatability. The system is enhanced by a high-capacity chain-type tool magazine, external to the machining area, and a full-chip evacuation system with washing nozzles. With an advanced numerical control interface offering graphic simulation, interactive programming, and high processing memory, the MX 4 is built for seamless operation and integration into modern production environments.
