The AWEA AF-1250 is a high-performance 3-axis vertical machining center engineered for precision, power, and versatility. Built for manufacturers seeking reliable, rigid, and adaptable solutions, the AF-1250 offers configurable travels up to 1250 mm (X), 650 mm (Y), and 610 mm (Z), making it an ideal fit for industries such as aerospace, automotive, energy, and mold & die applications.

This machine features the advanced FANUC 0i-MF Plus control with a 10.4” LCD screen, Manual Guide i conversational programming, 400-block AICCII look-ahead, and 2GB parts program storage, supporting up to 1,000 registerable programs—perfect for complex jobs and high-mix production environments. AWEA’s I-Console software ensures seamless operation, while high-speed rigid tapping, smooth tolerance control, and jerk control deliver precision at every stage.

The AF-1250 supports a range of spindle configurations to suit different applications. Choose from:
• Direct-drive spindles: BT40 (12,000 / 15,000 RPM), BT50 (10,000 RPM)
• Gear-type spindles: BT40 (8,000 RPM), BT50 (6,000 RPM), Z-axis with box ways

Tool changer options include a high-speed arm-type magazine with 30, 40, or 60-tool capacity, and a high-speed tool change system with tool-to-tool time as fast as 1.6 seconds. The robust design is enhanced with hand-scraped guideways, a cross roller system, and BESSEL POINTS saddle support, ensuring maximum rigidity and surface quality during aggressive cutting.

The machine is equipped with a CAT40 Big-Plus taper (BT40 or BT50 optional), and offers full CTS capability (300–1000 PSI), a spindle oil chiller, spindle thermal compensation, and optional X/Y/Z linear scales for micron-level repeatability.
