OSCARMAX EXD645 – High-Performance Micro-Drill EDM Machine
The OSCARMAX EXD645 is a precision micro-drill electrical discharge machining (EDM) system engineered for demanding micro-hole drilling and fine-feature machining in tool-making, mould fabrication, aerospace components, and medical device production. With a robust machine footprint and high-capacity work envelope, the EXD645 offers table travels of 600 mm (X-axis) × 400 mm (Y-axis) and a servo (W) axis travel of 500 mm, complemented by a guide (Z) travel of 500 mm.
It accommodates workpieces up to 870 × 750 mm (W × D) and supports up to 690 kg of load, making it well-suited for larger fixtures and complex parts. The machine includes a 650 × 450 mm table surface and weighs approximately 2,000 kg. On the power side, the generator unit supports a maximum working current of 120 A with overall power consumption of 10 kVA.
The dielectric system features a 120 L tank capacity with 10 µm filter density and dual filter elements for highest cleanliness standards. The control system boasts a 21.5-inch touch screen on a Windows 10 platform, offering real-time machine status through digital voltmeter, current meter and temperature sensors; it also supports up to 6-axis control (XYWZUV) with rotary table options for complex geometries.
